Presentation of the Discipline Council
The Board of Discipline of ENS Abidjan is the regulatory and decision-making body responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules of procedure, preserving institutional ethics and deciding on disciplinary violations committed by members of the academic community.
An independent and impartial body, the Disciplinary Council guarantees the fair application of the rules while respecting the rights of the defence and the principles of university disciplinary law.
The Council plays an essential role in maintaining a calm educational environment, respectful of academic values and conducive to the development of all.
Mission and Objectives

Ensure compliance with the rules of procedure, rule on disciplinary violations and ensure the fair application of sanctions in accordance with existing regulations.

Disciplinary procedures
The Discipline Council follows strict procedures ensuring respect for the rights of the defence and fairness of decisions. All disciplinary proceedings shall follow the following steps:

1Referral to the Council: Receipt of incident report or complaint from a member of the academic community.

2Prior instruction: Examination of facts, taking of evidence and preparation of the file by the Council Secretariat.

3Convening: Written notification to the person in question specifying the facts and date of the hearing.

4Hearing: Adversarial session allowing the accused person to present his defence, with the possibility of being assisted.

5Proceedings: In camera discussion of Council members to determine guilt and appropriate sanction.

6Notification: Written communication of the decision to the person concerned, including possible remedies.
Types of Sanctions
The sanctions imposed by the Discipline Council are graduated according to the seriousness of the shortcomings and are aimed at both reparation and education.
Oral Warning
Verbal proof for minor breaches, with reference to the administrative file.
Blame Written
Written sanction for repeated or more serious breaches, with official notification.
Definitive exclusion
Maximum penalty for very serious misconduct, with permanent cancellation of the establishment.
Any sanction may be accompanied by additional measures (general interest work, public apology, restitution of property, etc.).
